Accessories ~ Helmet Visors
Visors may last a year or more, but it is well worth considering replacing your crash helmet visor long before it becomes just a blur in front of your eyes.
A lot of riders are also replacing their clear visors with tinted or smoked visors. All visors should have the British Kite mark or conform to EU regulations. Generally speaking, these will be clear visors, although you can now use during the daytime only, visors with upto 50% tint. These will be marked for daylight use only.
Visors that are darker or have a mirror effect are not legal, so if you want darker, you will have to wear sunglasses. It is illegal at the moment to use a visor that has not been manufactured to BS4110 or European Standards ECE22.05.
