Welcome

They say you should change your crash helmet every two years, but is that right? And which motorcycle crash helmet should you consider buying? Of course, if there was one particular crash helmet that was clearly better than the rest, you and everyone else would buy that one. BUT, a motorcycle crash helmet is very personal to the individual. They offer different levels of comfort and protection to all riders, which is why we all buy different helmets.

The biggest difference between styles of crash helmets is whether they are full or open face. Whilst the full-face crash helmet offers superb protection, they do not have the excellent peripheral vision offered by an open face crash helmet. Which style you prefer may well be influenced by what type of machine you ride.

Generally speaking, if you ride a cruiser style motorcycle (Harley Davidson or similar) then you may lean more towards the open face crash helmet. Most other style of motorcycle will tend to where a full face design.
